Illapu is andean folkmusic group which has been active since 1971. Band has released 23 albums and 24th is coming soon.
The name Illapu comes from Quechua (lightning bolt) tells their wikipedia.
Group has received several awards and toured in various countries.

It´s easy to tell where these musicians come from. The genuine sound and the professional touch can be felt. I am always pro knowing own roots and being proud of that. Illapu shows how this can be done with such a style, that can make whole nation proud. Their lyrics are playing big part certainly :) Well done Illapu :)
