Eurovision Song Contest 2014 and 2nd semifinal is over. 15 nations did compete for the 10 places in final. That was such an battle and also today with big surprises.
In short the show was so much better than the 1st semifinal. Now the hosts were bit more relaxed and even the smile came from time to time. Opening number was bit too long and had parts, that weren´t really mixing that well, but hey this show gets the full 10 points for being very entertaining :)
Results then?
Switzerland, Slovenia, Poland, Romania, Norway, Greece, Malta, Belarus, Finland and Austria.
Here are the lucky ones.
Surprises here, yeah I would say Norway as that is still the most amateurish and dull, but Europe voted and that´s it.
That Israel didn´t pass. That was quite an surprise. Perhaps also, that Finland did pass as this semifinal was so much stronger than the 1st one, so the battle for those 10 places was heavier. And also cheering for own nation is bit more difficult as I know the song best ... so everytime Finland does well I am surprised :)
Predictions?
Wom readers 7/10 Israel, Ireland and Georgia didn´t qualify.
Me 8/10 Israel & Ireland didn´t qualify.
FST/Finland tv-panel previews 7/10 Israel, Ireland & Macedonia didn´t qualify.
Summa summarum every group did miss both Israel and Ireland. I find it quite interesting, that such similarity exist.

Malta Every instrument is here, plain t-shirt and singing bit out of tune and that screaming :(
Israel Looks simply perfect the stage,the wall behind her and the dance routine. Everything spot on :)
Norway From being an doorman to the eurovisionstage. Question is does this work? In my ears, it doesn´t.
Clearly he has been receiving some assisting around styling department and few singing lessons as it
doesn´t irritate as much tonight.
Georgia These three songs in three minute is strange recipy. It just didn´t work and perhaps the year off
would have been the best alternative. If they need an eurovision-coach just contact me and we´ll
change the history.
Poland Great performance even better than could be expected actually. All the drama of being sexist and
showing pure tits, c´mon this was so clean. I wonder how many waited to see some shocking
... but song is good and singing 50-50 in polish and in english did work.
Austria Simply breathtaking superb performance. Less is so much more. Might win whole contest.
Lithuania They have the strangest clothes this year, oddest choreography and song. They use all the tricks of
the book and keep on shouting for attention, so that Europe would see them. Yeah we saw and
we didn´t like what we saw.
Finland Leadsinger Topi seemed very tired, too tired like the energy was long gone. Sure I know how
stressful the eurovisionweek is and how the pressure feels like (experienced that twice), but it felt
like it was here and how we wouldn´t go to the final. Camerawork the poorest ever.
Ireland Colour, beat and dancers wearing kilts. Everything functions with perfection only the camerawork
isn´t the best possible.
Belarus Performance was superb. Teo had been taken dancelessons clearly and it shows. It was pleasure
to watch and listen. The choreography was cheesiest and so used million and one time before. That
could have been done so much better, believe me.
Macedonia OMG - Laura Voutilainen is back in ESC (Finland 2002) style,make-up and so on similar.
Nothing works on stage. Looks strange,sounds far from good. I adore Tijana for many many years
and here she sounds like being an newcomer. So sad for her.
Switzerland Quite an start for this number. Very happy feeling the whole 3 minutes and oh my he has been
taking lessons in english and lessons how to be in front of camera as tonight everything was so
perfect. Clear finalist I thought and now it has some winning feeling. Could it?
Greece This catchy beat and yeah I am rising up and put the volume bit higher. Jumps and energy. Strong
entry and will be interesting to see how high Greece will rise up :)
Slovenia I love Tinkara and this charisma she has works. Only the wall behind her could be in some other
colour than the cold blue as she wears blue... does Europe see her?
Romania It´s clear, that this is great song. Paula is superb, but what the h.. is Ovi doing there?
Australia was the showstopper bring the whole Down Under to Copenhagen, but I wonder did it do the trick they wanted? This seemed both childish at first and quite bad after as she sang so out of tune without hitting the note correctly once. I am so sad for her.
The showstopper vol. 2 #dancers" oh my how superb superstar this 86 years old Kit was WOW and 12 points to her :)
Summa summarum - amazing night, thank you Denmark.
