Guayaquil is the hometown of Daniel Betancourt, who was born in 1980.
He lived in Miami during 5 years, and in 2002 he was a participant on a musical Reality show broadcasted by Telemundo "Protagonistas de la música", where he ended fifth place.
En 2005 he returned to Ecuador, to start working on his own music.
In 2007 he released his first single "Seductora". His first album was released in 2011 "Sobran las palabras" and in 2014 he is releasing his 7th single under the title "Tus colores" (Your colours)
