Canada : Alyssa Reid

Alyssa Reid was born in Edmonton 1993. She took part in 2008 an talent contest "the next star" and she got in top6. 2009 she uploaded her cover-version of Justin Biebers song and after it reached 200.000 hits she received recording deal.

She has released 2 albums the last one in february.

Alyssa has very good voice and great songs. I did listen also the "satisfaction quaranteed" via her website and that song is even better.  She can take the world by storm, do you agree?

Canada : Young Liars

Young Liars is indieband from Vancouver. Band was founded in 2008. Band has released 2 EP:s and debut album is coming out in June.

Their sound is very fresh and hopefully that remains such. This joyful video suits this perfectly. Visual videos can be created with smaller budgets too.  Yeah song is great modern popsong I like it :)

Ethiopia : Rasselas

Rasselas is ethiopian-canadian artist. 1997 he moved to Canada. At school he was showing his talents in rap. He debuted & recorded 1st album in 1997 and 3rd album is released in couple of days.

This song is amazing. The lyrics are clever. This bilingual song is simply showing a new side of Ethiopia, tradition meets modern beat. Love it.

Canada: Autumn Hill

Tareya Green and Mike Robins put their talent together in Autumn Hill;  Mike is original from Toronto and Tareya from Calgary, but she moved to Toronto in the first days of 2012.

This band is new, since they released their first album in September 2013 under the name Favorite Mistake.

Canada: Kiesza

When speaking about Canada I often know better the artists singing in french and naturally country is full of artists whom have made it internationally in english too, but isn´t it strange how the mind sometimes works :)

Today I was by surprised hinted by an artist called Kiesza. I did watch her video not once, but three times in a row, as this has it all. The beat of today, the amazing choreography in this video alone, when the best part is that it was recorded in one take! You simply wouldn´t believe it, but see it for yourself and you notice how you click "play it again" button :)

Kiesza, born 1989 Kiesa Rae Ellestad is born in Calgary,Canada. She has experienced a lot in her life in fact more than most of us go thru in whole lifetime. She has been the primadonna, competing in Miss Universe Canada, served navy as code breaker and now writing and singing songs. What is left to do? Next perhaps acting and politics. Really despite I mentioned all in such few lines is by no means other than pure respect. This song of hers is purely amazing and it´s her 1st single btw as signed artist.

She also tells how the song was done and how while she was boarding practically to the flight from NY to LA while her friend called and played the song he had just written. She felted that this is exatcly what I stand for and went recording it and almost missed the flight. This is such an story just like how the video was done by one take and during that she broke one of the bones and couldn´t move for a month, but the results are purely amazing.

From Canada I decided to choose something totally cool. I feel like rock´n

Simple Plan is a band from Montreal,Canada. Debuted 1999 and has released 4 albums and 1 Ep.
I think their music sounds very fresh and interesting as they have own sound, which is very important to have. Also I like their humour, but that´s an another thing :)

Brazil: Ivete Sangalo & Claudia Leitte & Canada:Delhi2Dublin

Brazil and Canada. Hot´n cold. Sweet and sour, well I wanted today mix two quite different countries and their videos together. I say Brazil and you´ll think of samba,beach and caipirinha perhaps and Canada brings you quite much artists like Celine Dion,Bryan Adams and the list is continued with artists. Yes Canada is rich in many ways bringing artists to the global knowledge. Maybe the group I have selected is the new sensation, maybe :)

Brazil will start with Ivete Sangalo and Claudia Leitte´s song "deusas do amor" which is 3rd in charts at the moment and rising up.
Ivete Sangalo,born 1972, is most popular artist in Brazil. Released around 15 albums and more only in singles and by visiting various other albums. Before getting on solocareer she was with the Band Eva releasing 6 albums which sold over 4 million copies. All together she has sold over 17 million records and is clear nr 1 in Brazil (2012). She has every award you can think of and more than once she got it. She´s the superstar in Brazil. My first touch with her music was nearly a decade ago and since that bought some of her albums. Cláudia Cristina Leite Inácio Pedreira, born 1980, is better known by her stagename Claudia Leitte. She is one of the most popular artists in axé-genre and sold over 1.5 million copies.Released 4 albums and 5 albums with her band Babado Novo. Now she is featuring on Worldcup 2014 theme song together with Jennifer Lopez and Pittbull, but hehe I am not choosing that song here :) She´s also an actress and has been coach on Voice Brazil too. Canada  indeed I had very difficult to choose, french or english or some other criteria. Then I went "bananas" some of you may think, but do I care? Not really. I find this choice amazing and interesting while mixing two very unique styles together in quite lovely mixture. What do you think?

Delhi2Dublin band started 2006 and have released 6 albums so far and coming from Vancouver. How to describe their style, well celtic-bollywood-pop perhaps. This sounds very rich,spicy and unique.
