Tien Fu-Chen aka Hebe Tien was born in Hsinchu city 1983. She is actress,tv-hostess,singer and member of mandopop group S.H.E.
S.H.E. has released 17 albums alone and Hebe on her solo career 4 albums and 2 dvd´s.

Currently also her video is competing in Golden Melody Awards 2014 for best video.

This video is very visual and has quite great lyrics. Also video shows very well the real dilemma our globe is having, the climate change and how that will change everything.
Now it´s the time to change own habits,give a little and nature would thank you just as your next generation.
Think wise, think green.

Taiwan / China Sodagreen

Sodagreen is indieband from Taiwan. Band was formed 2001. They have taken part in various local contests and relesed 9 albums and 5 singles (not from any album).

Currently band is nominated for Golden Melody awards with this video. We shall see how it goes for them.

Sodagreen has been a band, that I have been following quite some time. Their style attract and one thing is common in their repertoire, strong melodies and singing. Also the lyrics are praised online, but for me whom doesn´t understand it as I understand the universal language of music. Video is very visual and entertaining and is worth the prize. Video brings something new and this wasn´t easy nor cheap to do either,but well done Sodagreen :) I loved this very much.

Taiwan / China Wu Yong Bin

Wu Yong Bin was born in 1990 Taiwan. He started his music career being part of various groups. He turned to solo career 2010 and released 2 albums since that. He received the best taiwanese male artist award 2010.

Song is nice and his voice very soft. Maybe bit more power would have been better, bt this works like this too.

Taiwan/China Genie Chuo

Zhuó Wénxuan aka Genie Chuo was born in 1986 and she is both singer and actress. She has starred in 10 tv-series, 3 movies and released 4 albums.

This video was released yesterday "happy because" and that is the 1st single from new album

Genie sings like an angel and the song is slow ballade where the melody is great partner with Genies voice :)

Taiwan: Ann

Ann Bai is born in 1991. She joined choir at the age of 13 and started to write own music at the age of 16.
She released 1st single in 2008 "birds" which got attention and her 2nd single was "the catcher in the rye" both as her demo´s.
She received the award from the state for the song "the catcher in the rye" and the 1st album by same name was released last year.

Somehow it´s clear, that the song/video by her is "the catcher in the rye", which I hope you will enjoy as much as I did.

 

The sounds are amazing and very welcoming to continue listening. Melody is functional and the bilingual singing in this bit pop-jazzinfluenced song interests more. Sure it´s easy to point out to something, but I am not doing it. I liked it :) Hope to hear more....

Taiwan: Jess Lee

Jess Lee  returns to blog of ours.

This video "laugh to tears" is powerballade as it´s best and Jess Lee can deliver so perfectly. The orchestration behind it is close to perfect. I love it and hopefully you aswell :)

Malaysia / Taiwan
