Turkmenistan : Mähri Pirguliýewa

On the way from Sakha we make a stop in Turkmenistan in centralasia.

Turkmenistan got independence in 1991, just like so many states after Sovjet Union collapsed.
Tourism is at babysteps, but is growing.

Musiclife is active, but the information is very difficult to get. One of the big artists is Mähri Pirguliýewa, born 1988 and she debuted 2007  (also especially in youtube myahri). Information as said is limited and nothing what I could have used here, unfortunately.

This is anyway "aýterek-günterek" very interesting popsong with ethnic elements at the end.

Republic of Sakha : Kyunney

Russia is federation of states. Despite the current situation - politically speaking - I will continue, but via these states.
Eurasian country, Sakha republic (Yakutia) is 1/5 of Russia, but it is amazingly well endowed with everything gas,diamond,gold etc. 

This is the official video of Yakutia/Sakha Republic. I  have also received an wish, that I should also tell more of the regions/countries etc. which is taken on the list of wishes. Still main purpose in this blog is music and so it will be, but on the side maybe this touristical aspect could be thought in special editions perhaps.

Malta: Carrie Haber

Malta, this tiny island under the Mediterranean sun has very unique language and it seems that whole island can sing :)

Recently I was discovering quite interesting young talent, Carrie Haber.
She is unique as she is one of the kind, clearly. On one way her voice + music brings to mind Kate Bush and even Björk. So you know what I am talking about :)  You can visit her website  http://www.carriehaber.com/

Nowadays she is living in UK, which is clever career move. Sure in UK there is bigger scenes, but also far more artists nearly looking for same gigs. I do wish she will do well, she deserve all the success :)

Hungary : Zséda

Back in Hungary. I could not choose an older clip this time. Older, well from 2012. Now most of you know, that dance interests me almost as much as music does. In this video you get it all. Talented artist with superb voice, amazing dance act and melody, that is so catchy .. oh my :)

Adrien Zsédenyi, born 1974, debuted 1994 in Cotton Club Singers group till 2001 and during that time group released 5 albums. Solo career since 2002 and she has released so far 6 albums. Her website http://www.zseda.hu/
