St. Lucia: Teddyson John

If you are doing a trip to the West Indies nations, and you like the music, you should be prepared to arrive to the land of Zouk. No matter if the country if french or english speaking, the Zouk dominates their musical taste.

Saint Lucia is a 617 km island with a 175,000 population.

Just for you to know 55% of their economy depends on 2 main productions: Oils petroleum and Banana production.

Well now jumping to music, let me introduce to you Teddyson John. He is a St Lucia singer and songwriter

His first recording was a song called "Sweeter"

He has performed in Caribe, United States, Paris, Canada

Teddyson opened the participation of Ne-Yo in the St. Lucia Jazz Festival in 2010

Portugal: Mickael Carreira

Mickael Antunes was born in Dourdan, Portugal in 1986. His fans know him as well as Micka.

In Portugal he has released 4 albums were he has been awarded with 5 gold disc and 3 platinum for selling 130,000 copies

In 2013 he arrives to Mexico to sing the song of the soap opera "Por siempre mi amor" (Forever my love) , and he has now a great number of followers in the aztec nations thanks to his talent and personal charm.

Mexico: Samo

Samuel Parra Cruz born in Veracruz, Mexico December 1975 is better known as Samo

In 2004 he join Camila band, one of the most sucessfull latin bands in the late years.

He rose the fame as the leading voice of the band, but in 2013 he decide to release his first solo album under the title "Inevitable" (Unavoidable)

He is also a good lyricist writing to many of the main mexican, puertorican and spanier voices.

Cape Verde: Dino D'Santiago

"It is best to stick with love than with a passion" Dino D' Santiago

Claudino Jesus Borges Pereira , Dino D' Santiago was born 30 years ago in Quarteira . The older of three children, early become accustomed to attend rehearsals of choirs.

The music ran in his blood , but in his early life he wanted to be a painter. If chance exists, Dino crossed with in, on the day he was accompanying a friend in a casting for the television show Operación Triunfo . The year was 2003. Unexpectedly , " I did the casting and I was selected" And it was one of the finalists.

In 2004 he was part of the Jaguar Band , the group of musicians who accompany Expensive Soul live concerts. In 2008 , under the pseudonym Dino SoulMotion , released first solo album "Eu e os Meus"

 He was recently awarded in the Cape Verde Music Awards 2014

New Zealand / Cook Islands: Seasiders

The next stop of this journey is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

The Cook Islands, is a island country in the South Pacific Ocean in free association with New Zealand.

With around 20,000 habitants we cannot expect a wide musical industry, however, there are some bands that worth a look on them.

The Seasiders is a 4 piece band, with a unique style with Sounds of Tongarevea (Penrhyn).

The band was formed in 2012, and in their own words "their harmonies are pure magic, and this humble quartet are thrilled to showcase their talents"
