FM Laeti was born in 1981 in Guadeloupe or as in arawakian Karukera. She was born in a very musical family since his father was the 1st drummer of the legendary band Kassav.
When she was three years old, she moved to France with her family, then to Canada.
She has worked as singer in jazz bars and as designer. Her first album was released in 2011 and new album is coming out this fall/autumn.
