Puerto Rico: Jennifer López, Ricky Martin & Wisin

Ok today is the day for "La isla del encanto" (The Island of the Charm) Puerto Rico has emerged in the latest years as a dominant nation on the latin american musical scene. The release of Regueton as a very popular musical style that displaced ballads and pop to a second term on nations like Colombia, Chile, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru and Panama. We will have time to talk about many of those local talents, one by one, this time, we have 3 of them alltogether here in a single song. Let's start with the ladies ....Jennifer López, the popular JLo became a world class actrees and singer, when she took the role of Selena, in the film dedicated to the life of the mexican-american singer that was murderer by her own agent in the 90's. Since then Jennifer have conquered the stardom in Hollywood and the musical scene. Even when Jennifer was born in the USA, she has her roots in Puerto Rico. Juan Luis Morera (Wisin), became a famous singer in Latinamerica when he put his talent together with Yandel, and formed the sucesfull duo Wisin & Yandel. In 12 years of carrer they scored more than 15 hits in the Billboard Charts. They separated recently and started their own projects. In the case of Enrique Martín Morales (the famous Ricky Martin) the stardom, started also, forming part of the 80's puertorican boyband phenomenon, called "Menudo". There was no place of Latinamerica, and even far countries as the Phillipines that didn't know about Menudo. The teenagers were crazy about them and there was no guy in Puerto Rico in his young age, that was not dreaming about been part of this group. Tens of youngsters, took part of the musical project, one of them exceled and became the most famous puertorican singer of the last decades, his name Ricky Martin. After departing Menudo, he moved to Mexico, the showcase of the Latinamerican music, to became a soap opera actor and later, releasing in 1991 his first solo album. Since then, he became a hit maker, single by single, becaming a pop idol in every latinamerican country. It was in 1998 when singing the official song for Soccer World Cup of 1998 "The cup of the life" when he became a world sucess. "Maria" "The cup of the life" "She bangs" "Livin la vida loca" "Come" "Mas" are well know all around the world, and became signature songs for him. I had the chance to meet Ricky during the Meet & Greet event before his concert in Panama City in October 2011, and all that I can say is that he got all this sucess, yes because he is talented singer, dancer, because he is a very handsome guy .... but all this is swetened because of his personal charm. He is a kind and easy man guy that always have a smile for all his fans, and that all what he cares is to have a nice life and bring happiness on all his followers. This is a good example of what sucess is, not having the talents, and the blessings that life can give to you, but .... on the way you use your own blessings to bless other's life.
