Afghanistan has been on our news for decades and it´s time to also open the curtains and show the music. There is as expected great artists and songwriters and slowly you´ll discover some of them in this blog.
Aryana Sayeed,born 1985, is afgan popstar,singer,songwriter and tvhost. Also could be mentioned, that she was one of the judges in The Voice of Afghanistan. Like so often family had to move away from the difficult times as we know it to Pakistan and from the moved via Switzerland to UK,London.
After I found her videos in youtube I was so sold, as so many times before. She is very beautiful and so is her voice too. And this video then... very melodic song and the visual look is breathtaking. I am sure you´ll like it :) Her official facebook: http://www.facebook.com/aryanamusic

Milana Misic,born 1970 in Espoo Milana Misic-Puukari. She is the daughter of Laila Kinnunen, famous loved finnish artist. Milana has croatian roots and her father is famous croatian musician Milan Misic. Milana has released 5 albums and 1 tribute album of her mother´s most popular songs. 7th album is to be released this year. Milana has taken part in various song contests like Eurovision National final here in Finland and in Syksyn sävel ( autumn´s melody) and abroad in Cerbul di Aur festival in Romania 2004. I had the pleasure to be there along with her.
Video that I selected is "linnun kokoinen" /size of an bird This song was used also to get attention to the eating disorder illness, which is very serious as we know anorexia is.
I find the song extremely beautiful as it also is melodically bit like getting back to the croatian roots. I love the sounds,melody and naturally I love Milana :)
