On our 2nd visit to Mali I like to present you in my opinion an artist, whom should be far more known internationally. She has the talents and music often uses ethnic elements and videos are artistic visually.
Rokia Traoré, born 1974, is artist,songwriter and quitarist. Her father was a diplomat, which means that she was able to travel in many countries and adopt influences, which can be heard in her music. Her style is special electronic,acoustic and you mix that with ethnical influences. She has released 5 albums.
I love the video and the dances. More artistic it can´t be and rhythm so unique either. One of the best songs from Africa for a long long time.
