Tunisia : Emel Mathlouthi & Mali : Mamani Keita

From time to time there is bonusposts in this blog. As currently the most read post is covering african music, which is good thing. This is a follower to that.

Tunisia is in my opinion to be discovered musically. In Eurovision Song Contest we remember Amina Annabi, who is the moral winner of 1991 contest coming in shared 1st and still not taking the title.
I am sure we can discover many amazing talents from Tunisia and 1st one in this blog is Emel Mathlouthi.

Emel, born 1982, is both artist and actress. She became quickly the face and voice of tunisian revolution and had to leave the country. I could mention a lot about that period of time and it should be known too, but I try to keep politics out from this blog. You can however find easily more detailed facts from internet.
This video I selected "ma Lkit" is translated as "not found"
I find the video very good and somehow her voice is so touching. What would you say?
You can read and listen more from her website http://www.emelmathlouthi.com/

Mali
Assitan Keita, born 1965, better known as Mamani Keita. Mamani means grandmother, so that we know that too. She has released 3 albums and you may follow more from her website http://mamanikeita.fr/
She is touring around the world and no wonder as she is divine in worldmusic genre.
